David Matthew Cook

David Matthew Cook was born on December 22, 1960, to parents Glynn and Gayle Cook. He entered into rest on December 20, 2020, two days before his 60th birthday. David was a loving husband, exceptional father and adoring grandfather. He was a genuinely kind person, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, a steady shoulder to lean on. David was always a hard worker and retired from TXU after a 35 year long career. In his spare time he enjoyed motorcycles, he was a “Harley Davidson Man”. David was an avid sportsman, fisherman and hunter. His favorite role in life was that of “Poppy” and spending time with his precious granddaughters. He married his beautiful wife, Laura, in 2013 and they spent the last several years enjoying their precious time together.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Glynn and Gayle Cook. He is survived by his wife Laura Cook; sons, John David Cook, Aaron Cook, Stephen Schreck; daughter Miranda Weithorn and husband Blake; granddaughters, Lacey and Elena Wiethorn. David also leaves behind other loved ones and lifelong friends. He was well loved and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
