Mrs. Deborah "Debbie" Kay Matthews

Debbie was born on October 10, 1954 in Springhill, LA to parents Carl A. Cundiff and Bessie Lee Horton and entered into eternal rest on September 6, 2015 at the age of 60. Debbie loved going to the beach and gardening. She was an avid reader who loved to paint. Debbie loved hanging out with her hubby. She was a homemaker for 40 years and was active in the community; helping with local plays and haunted houses. She was a Southern Baptist and was a member of McComb Baptist Church in McComb, MS. Debbie taught Sunday School and was active in the youth programs. She was an animal lover; Debbie had many of her own and loved each and every one of them. Debbie was a very loving and caring lady who will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved her.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, son Rowdy Lynn Matthews, daughter Dannette Matthews, brother Carl Douglas Cundiff and brother Glen Matthews.

She is survived by her loving husband Dennis Matthews of Cayuga, daughter Karla Lucas of Payne Springs, son Jarrett McCurdy and wife Lisa of Eustace, son Cary Cundiff of Conroe, daughter LeeAnn Duffy and husband Ryan of Frisco, 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and one on the way, brother Curtis Cundiff and wife Jackie of Conroe, brothers; J.R. Matthews of Summit, MS and Gator Westmoreland and wife Staci of Payne Springs, sister Bobbie Matthews, other loving family members and many more friends.

Pallbearers are; Tuff Horton Lucas, Rowdy Karl Lucas, Dennis Matthew McCurdy, Lennie Whitmore, Jason Gray and Ryan Duffy.
