Dennis Lee Custard, age 84, of Eustace, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. He was a caring and devoting husband, father, and "Pepaw"; who loved spending time with his family. Dennis met the love of his life, Elvie Marie Dixon in Tulsa, OK at a bus station. It was love at first sight, the two were soon married on March 30, 1961 and they decided to raise their family in the Dallas area. Looking for a quieter life, they later moved to Eustace, Tx. Dennis was a bold and tenderhearted man; who loved trains and animals, especially his horses and mule. He enjoyed gardening, tinkering with and working on his tractors. Although he was a truck driver by profession, his real passion was working as a team with his wife. Dennis had an inquisitive mind that liked reading about the Civil War and Lewis L'amour novels. He will be truly missed by all of those he met and knew.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, William Jennings Custard and Una Lee Bivins; and brother, Harley Custard.
