Mrs. Evelyn Mills Cook

Evelyn was born on June 20, 1945 in Talihina, Oklahoma to parents Marvin and Verna (Pamplin) Mills and entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2014 at the age of 69. Growing up, Evelyn was known as “Katie” to her family and friends. She graduated Valedictorian of Stinnett High School in Stinnett, TX. Evelyn was a hard worker her whole life and was an excellent office manager and bookkeeper. In 2004, she became President of Water Kleen, Inc. in Ennis, Texas and retired in 2012. Evelyn loved spending time with her family and friends, and loved the outdoors. She was a devout Christian and attended Christian Life Center where she enjoyed fellowship with her church family, singing praises, and receiving God’s word. Anyone who met Evelyn came to love her. She was a very kind and caring person who will be missed by all who knew her.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her father, brother Ricky Mills and stepson Tommy Cook.

She is survived by her loving husband Joe D. Cook of Trinidad, son Brian Driscoll and wife Sherri of Athens, daughter Cathy Jones and husband Brian of Austin, grandchildren; Matt, Eric, Chris, Mendi, Abbie, Emma and Evan, great-grandchildren; Isabelle and Allison, brothers; Marvin Mills Jr., Herbert Mills, Melvin Mills and David Mills, sister Lorri Boyd, lots of nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more friends.
