Faye was born on March 13, 1942 in Galveston, Texas to parents Loyd and Fannie Celestine (Bahr) Hodges and went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 24, 2019. Faye was an exceptional person, she had a bubbly personality and always had a smile on her face. She and her husband, Lloyd, owned and operated East Texas Tile and Carpet in Athens. Faye also owned and operated Classy Cakes and Catering in Athens. She was known for her butter rum cakes. Faye never met a stranger, very outgoing and generous. She was sometimes a little quirky but had a big heart. Faye was a fierce lady, who loved her family with all her soul. She was a longtime member of Athens Life Fellowship Church in Athens and attended Lakepointe Church in Rockwall for the past few years. Faye was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd W. McCarley, daughter Judy McCarley Rhodes and sister Fannie Siegel.
She is survived by her children; Carolyn Leonhard of Zearing, Iowa, Bobby Joe Crance and wife Amy Jo of Phalba, Rodney Joe Crance and fiancé Lori of Gun Barrel City, Ernie Swindle and wife Julia of Lawton, OK, Toni Carey of Ft. Madison, Iowa and Lori DaSilva and husband John of Rowlett, 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, sister Pat Davidson of Mabank, numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.

All proceeds will go towards Faye’s child she sponsored in Ghana.
