Frances Ann McLeroy

Frances Ann McLeroy, a compassionate and faithful woman, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, at the age of 76. She was born on June 29, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, to John Vernon Powell and Selma Ruth Chapman.

A short visitation starting at 9:30 am followed by a celebration of life service at 10:00 am will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas.

Frances spent her formative years in Tool, Texas, and she graduated from Malakoff High School.

In May of 1967, Frances met her one true love, Danny McLeroy, and they married in January of 1968. Together, they built a marriage strong in faith, love, and laughter.

Frances was a dedicated minister and could always be found volunteering at church, spreading God's love at the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Eustace, Texas. Family was everything to her. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, finding joy in being involved in their lives and helping raise each generation. Frances passed on her love of God and joy of family to her family and future generations.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents, John Powell and Selma Chapman, her beloved husband, Danny McLeroy, bother Billy Powell and sister Sandra Haley

She is survived by her children: son, Vernon Ray McLeroy; daughter, Susan Bayuk and husband, Chris; daughter, Janet Ragsdale and husband, Russell. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Michael Rollins and wife, Ashlee, Jesse Hill, Jacob Hill, Nikki Brunken and husband, Drew, Camdyn Ragsdale, Desi Bayuk, Makayla Williams and husband Tyler, Mariha Sanchez and husband, Sebastian, Bethany Ragsdale, Breanna Ragsdale; and her great-grandchildren, Addie, Jack, Emmie, Kayce, Hudson, Stetson, Hayden, Mason, Jenson, Tate, Faith, Grayson, Sawyer. Frances also leaves behind a host of other family and friends who will cherish her memory.

Frances Ann McLeroy's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and dedication to her family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Frances will be inurned next to her beloved, Danny, at Morrow Chapel Cemetery in Kaufman County, Texas.
