Gary Wayne McCasland was born on May 21, 1950 in Greenville, Texas to parents Herman and Billie (Archer) McCasland and entered into eternal rest on February 20, 2017 at the age of 66. Gary was known as “Gary Dog” to his family and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, working jigsaw puzzles and building model cars. Gary was the sweetest and kindest man you would ever meet. He was a member of Sinners Hope Church in Payne Springs. Gary was loved by all who knew him and he will be missed tremendously.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and step-daughter Melissa Veneable.
He is survived by his wife Dovie Skinner of Gun Barrel City, step-daughters; Peggy Crawford of Gun Barrel City and Monica Greenwood of Gun Barrel City, step-son Franklin Skinner and wife Stephanie of Kingsland, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, sister Ann Arie and husband Jerry of Balch Springs, brother Tim McCasland of Kemp, sister Patty Ellifson of Garland, sister Cathy Haulsey and husband John of Royse City, brother John Claney and wife Terri of Uvalde, sister Donna Partin and husband Jesse of Garland, numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many more friends.
