Hazel entered into eternal rest on May 15, 2024, at the age of 86 years old.

Hazel is survived by her son, Robin Lane and wife Cindy; daughter, Holly Martin and husband Rick; son, Mike Lane and wife Sandy; daughter, Regina Fairbrother and husband Kenny; son, Benzie Lane and wife Samantha; along with 13 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Siblings, Morris Barnett; Jodie Letchworth and husband Bob; Sandy Robbins and husband Carl.
Hazel lived 100 lives, serving in the Marine Corps, owning a beauty shop, working at Presbyterian Hospital, raising a large family and operating a local hometown cafe, better known as 'The Kitchen Table'. She was also a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Mabank, Texas. She always lived life to the fullest. To know her was to know that she loved to have a good time and make people laugh. From curling hair to frying chicken, there is nothing she wasn't capable of. Hazel loved a good horse race or a loose slot machine. She could sing with the best karaoke singers or dance the cotton eye joe. She loved to travel and meet new people, always leaving with a new friend. She was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, who never even let church get in the way of a Sunday football game.
Hazel had such an impact on her family, friends, and community. She will be greatly missed by so many.
A visitation for Hazel will be held Friday, May 24, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Mabank, Texas, followed by a celebration of life funeral service at 2:00 pm.
