Iris Yvonne (Hughes) Hare

Iris Yvonne Hare was born on September 14, 1939 to parents Edward and Bessie Hughes. She entered into rest on October 3, 2020 at the age of 81. Iris was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy. She attended Seagoville High School, where she graduated as valedictorian in 1957. Iris was also a member of the Gun Barrel City Beacon Church of Christ where she enjoyed worshipping and fellowship with other believers. She also loved to read, paint and work in her garden.

Iris was preceded in death by parents Edward Thomas Hughes and Bessie Hughes Handlin, brother; Thomas Edward Hughes and wife Florence Kimbrell Hughes, sister; Lydia P King and husband L.M. King, husband; William O. Hare, son; Wilson Thomas Hare, great-granddaughter; Chloe Madison Sumner Faires. She is survived by daughter; Patty H. Robertson, granddaughter; Jessica L. Caldwell, son-in-law William C. Ivie, granddaughter; Amanda Faires, great-granddaughter Leslie N. Faires, brother-in-law; Jimmy Hare and wife Teretha, sister-in-law; Bonnie Gould and husband Calvin and many nieces and nephews and cousins. She was very loved and will be missed by so many.
