Jackie grew up in Dallas and graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School. She was Southern Baptist by faith. Jackie was full of life. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and dancing to the radio. The beautiful art of cooking and sewing she shared with her granddaughters. Jackie loved to go antiquing and watch Antique Roadshow. Her best days were having tea parties with real tea sets with her granddaughters. Jackie had a wonderful sense of humor and loved animals. Jackie’s smile and zest for life will live on in the memories her family holds dear.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lola Reid; sons, Jeff Todd Key and Gregory Wayne Parks; brother, Joe Oliver Reid.
Jackie is survived by her granddaughters: Meagan Parks Dowell and husband, Jordan Dowell, and Heather Petersen; great grandchildren: Jackson Holley, Marleyana Petersen and Kingston Parks; daughter in-law, Trina Chapa; sisters: Eva Chapman and husband, Marvin and Angenette Reid; husband, John Ketron.
Jackie will be laid to rest at Elm Grove Cemetery in Mabank, Texas.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home, Chaplain Kelly Ann Lambert officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
