About fifteen years my senior, cousin Jackie will ever-be someone I look up to. Unbeknownst to her, Jackie made an impression on me as a youngster; I felt safe around her. We lived three hours apart and only occasionally visited her, but I always felt comforted in her presence, protected, defended. I’ll carry that feeling onward with me. Though she has gone on to her eternal rest, I’m now able to talk to her always. Thanks, Jackie. Love you. See you again, in time.
