CW2 James Lee Burrow

Born, November 7, 1953, Midland, TX. Died, September 7, 2019 Dallas, TX.

United States Army retired CW2 James Lee Burrow passed quietly and peacefully on the evening of September 7th at the VA hospital in Dallas after battling cancer. James was born in Midland, TX on November 7, 1953. He dedicated his life to serving his country and community but there was nothing more important to him than his family.

James was a proud Army veteran of 20 years. After serving in several countries all over the world, he retired to Kemp, TX where he joined the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department serving for another 10 years. James was also a proud member and past Master Mason of the Kaufman lodge #726 in Scurry, TX.

He is preceded in death by his father, Edgar Ray Burrow; mother, Sue Patsy Thomas; brother, Bobby Ray Burrow; step-mother, Alba Louise Swift; and daughter-in-law, Natalie Michelle Burrow.

He is survived by wife, Twilla Ann Garland Burrow; son and daughter-in-law, James Ray and Katrina Broussard; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Wayne and Ronda Degeyter; son and daughter-in-law, Edgar Lee Michael and Christina; siblings, Michael Holly, Shirley Ruffin, Darlene McGibbony, Jackie Sebring, Don Burrow, and Doug Burrow; grandchildren, Kaylyn and husband Sylvain Lanaspeze, Brittany and fiancé Chaz Louvier, Kristian, Angelle, Marc, Gage, and Aleczander (Zander).
