John was born on August 21, 1959 in Arlington, TX to parents John Jefferson Gregory Sr. and Clotagene Simpson Gregory and entered into eternal rest on May 20, 2015 at the age of 55. John graduated from LD Bell High School in 1978 and attended Tarrant County Junior College as an Art major. He had to quit when his father passed to help his mother run the family business. John loved art and painting. He also enjoyed writing and poetry. John was writing a fantasy book, “Ian”, which is a compilation of bedtime stories he told his son, Tavish Ian. He worked as a foreman in commercial masonry which he loved doing. John was a member of Aley United Methodist Church. He was a loving caring man who will be missed tremendously by those who knew and loved him.
John was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his loving wife Terri Gregory of Gun Barrel City, daughter Chelsea Heard of Seven Points, son Tavish Gregory of Gun Barrel City, grandchildren; Destiny and Kaiden, mother Clotagene Gregory of Lubbock, sister Mandy McClain of Lubbock, best friend Bobby James of Garland, numerous cousins, other loving relatives, church family and many more friends.
