Joseph Conrad Lausier, age 80, of Mabank, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Joseph was born August 29, 1941 in Danforth, Maine; to parents, Marguerite Cropley and Conrad Joseph Lausier. He married the love of his life, Wanda Lausier in Dallas, Texas on November 21, 1973. United States Army Veteran, Captain Lausier served his country proudly in the Vietnam war. Prior to joining the Army, he attended the Naval Academy. Christian by faith, Joseph attended Payne Springs Baptist Church. He was a brilliant and clever man, who loved working with computers, learning military history, and staying up to date with life's current events. Joseph was a member of the Texas State Guard, as well as Mensa. He will be deeply missed by everyone he met and loved.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, Marguerite Cropley and Conrad Joseph Lausier; brothers, David Lausier and Charles Lausier.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Lausier of Mabank; sons, Fredrick Lausier and wife Teresa of Frisco, TX., and Brad Lausier of Mabank, TX.; grandchild, Travis Lausier of Frisco, TX.; brother, Conrad "Boppy" Lausier II and wife Marie of Freeport, Maine; sisters, Julie Beggs of North Yarmouth, Maine, Joan Lausier of Wakefield, Rhode Island, Suzanne Lausier of Wakefield, Rhode Island, Annette Lausier of Auburn, Maine, and Evangeline Lausier and husband Bob Giggey of Durham, NC.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 2:00pm, in the Chapel of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home; officiated by Reverend Phillip Cooke.
