Judith Ann Kemp

Judith “Judy” Ann Kemp, 80 of Gun Barrel City, passed on March 23, 2023. She was born January 16, 1943 to the late Roland Warington Gilpin and the late Geraldine Rosa Knecht Gilpin in Camden, New Jersey.

Judy grew up in New Jersey moving to Dallas in 1984 where she worked as a secretary for Irri-Tech. While working she met her husband Leslie Kemp and they were married in May 24, 2008. She retired to their Cedar Creek Home in 2007 where she enjoyed hanging with her “Peeps” in her neighborhood family. She loved her life on the lake fishing and gardening flowers and vegetables.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; David Ferfort and his wife Tammy, Leia Ray and her husband Willie, Geoff Ferfort, Sandy Hess, Tonya Stubbelfield, Steven Kemp, grandchildren; Tassie, Taylor, Anna Marie, Shawn, Jaxon, Gavin, Jemma, Cheyenne, Greyson, Katelyn, great grandchildren; Aria, Alexander, Camryn, Kaidyn, Kason, Aralynn, Amelia and dog Maxi.

A Celebration of Judy’s Life will be on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 2:00PM at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home, 601 State Hwy 198, Mabank, TX 75147. Memorial Donations may be made to The Paralyzed Veterans of America.
