Born on November 29, 2020, in Dallas, Texas, he is the son of Pedro Alvarez, Jr. and Natalie Nicole Gutierrez.
Matthew was the sweetest boy anyone ever met. He was such a silly, handsome, smart boy. He was a perfectionist, always wanted everything the right way. He collected something everywhere he went. He loved going fishing, to the dinosaur park, to the rocket ship park, to his cousin’s house, and playing at home with his toys or chickens or dog. His favorite food was Panda getting orange chicken and his chicken wings from Wingstop. He loved going to work with his Dad and loved telling everyone about his adventures and his Daddy’s achievements. He loved showing all the things his Mama spoiled him with. He loved his family and was such a great helper with anyone. He was the greatest big brother to his sister and best son.
God needed a helper in his kingdom with a kind soul.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his sisters Evalie and Adalie; his dog Oso; his chickens; and family, grandparents, uncle, aunts, and cousins.
The family will receive friends and hold a rosary vigil on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A funeral mass will be conducted on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Gun Barrel City, Texas, at 12:30 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Athens Cemetery in Athens, Texas.
