

Nellie “Faye” McLauchlin was born November 5, 1923 in Kemp, Texas to parents William Strater Brown and Elvie Vertner Tate and entered into eternal rest on February 3, 2015 at the age of 91. Nellie was known as “MeMaw” by most everyone who knew her. She was strong in her faith and the love for her family. Faye enjoyed reading her Bible and going to church. She loved gardening and going to Wal-Mart. Faye was a great cook and would feed everyone in the area, as well as the animals, but she loved going out to eat. There were many things that Faye loved; Christmas, her cats, visiting with company and she loved people. Faye was Non-Denominational and attended Faith Family Church in Kaufman, where she would preach on occasion. She was a loving, caring lady who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, husband W.D. McLauchlin, two grandchildren; Sky Morley and Donna Merritt, daughter-in-law Mary Lou, son-in-laws; James, Jimmy and Ron.
She is survived by her daughter Sherry Jones and husband Pete of Dallas, son David McLauchlin of Broaddus, daughter Judy LaCour and husband Larry of Kemp, daughter Patsy Gray and husband Bruce of Eustace, daughter Jennifer Smith and husband Scott of Kaufman, daughter Sonya Vessel and husband Denny of Sunnyvale, 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, other loving family members and many more friends.
