Services for Peggy Jean Booher, 82, of Kemp, will be held 11 am Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank with Emmitt A. Booher officiating. Interment will be in Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Park.
Mrs. Booher passed away April 12, 2023 in Tyler. She was born April 15, 1940 in St. Johns, Arizona to John Marvin and Berlin English Zinn.
Peggy spent most of her life in Lubbock. She married Emmitt Booher on November 7, 1958. She loved cooking, reading romance and mystery novels, and spending time with her grandchildren. Peggy was a member of the Cedar Creek United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Booher is preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt, and her parents, John and Berlin Zinn.
Peggy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Carren Booher of McKinney; daughter, Kim Mitchell of Phoenix; six grandchildren: Emmitt Booher of Indianapolis, Daniel Booher of Temple, Jacob Booher of Dallas, Rebecca Booher of Commerce, Paige Mitchell of Tucson, and Meagan Mitchell of Phoenix; brother, John Zinn and wife, Mary, of Belton; brother-in-law, Dan Booher of Smithville; two sister-in-laws: Jonalene Breeze of Seven Points and Jean Matthews of Wichita; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Emmitt Booher, Daniel Booher, Jacob Booher, Case Breeze, Michael Breeze and Colton Breeze.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
