

Rachelle was born on September 23, 1945 in Dallas, TX to parents Jeff Doy and Polly (Johnson) Holmes and entered into eternal rest on October 20, 2014 at the age of 69. Rachelle was always taking care of her family. She had a funny sense of humor. Rachelle was a cake maker; she made them for special occasions like family birthdays and weddings. She enjoyed floral designing and was a professional seamstress. Rachelle made doll and Barbie clothes. She loved going shopping. Rachelle enjoyed going to the movies with her sister-in-law, and traveling with the girl gang; Luanna, DoraLee and Beverly. She loved her soap operas and reading the National Enquirer. Rachelle once snuck onto the set of Little House on the Prairie and met the cast member Mrs. Olson. She would travel to Dallas and go to the Sportatorium. Rachelle enjoyed going to the VFW with her late husband. She worked for over 36 years at Koral Industries in Ennis, where she supervised and manufactured fiberglass tubs. Rachelle was a faithful Christian and was a very loving caring lady who will be missed dearly by those who loved her. Rachelle was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Vester Vanoven, who passed in 1980, second husband Grover Dixon, who passed in 2010, grandson Steven Lamb and infant brother Richard Holmes. She was is survived by her daughter Vanessa Perdue and boyfriend Mike Molanders of Seven Points, sons; John Watson of Mabank and William Watson of Dallas, grandson; Jeremy Lamb and wife Ashley, Christopher Perdue and wife Jenna, Cody Perdue and wife Terri, Dakota Watson and wife Anissa and Montana Watson, adopted son Ronny Bird, granddaughters; Lindsey Davis and Bekah Davis and fiancé Justin, adopted granddaughter Brandi Garner, great-grandchildren; Riley Lamb, Ella Watson and Olly Watson, brothers; Jeff Homes, Ray Holmes, Donald Holmes, Wayne Holmes, Gene Holmes and Jesse Holmes, special friend Bobbie Cupp, host of extended family and friends.
