Susan Diane Patterson

May 7, 1959 – May 30, 2025

Susan Patterson passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 66. She was the beloved partner of Buster Bowden for 27 years, a devoted mother, and a proud grandmother who brought warmth and laughter to everyone around her.

She is survived by her children, April Mixon and her husband Junior Mixon; Brandon Badgett and his wife Tammy Badgett; her grandchildren Chesley, Trey, Nicole, Tyler, Cameryn, Trinity, and Jeffery and her great grandchildren. She was also looking forward to welcoming another great-grandchild this November. Susan is also survived by her brother, Richard Blackwell Jr., and many friends and extended family members who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Mae Blackwell and Richard Blackwell Sr., along with many other loved ones who meant the world to her.

Family meant everything to Susan. She loved being a grandmother and was especially proud of regularly beating the grandkids at Wii—something she took great joy in reminding them about.

A memorial service will be held on June 16 at 10:30 a.m. at Eubank Funeral Home in Mabank. All who knew and loved Susan are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.

She will be deeply missed, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
