Alice "Sonja" S. Conti

Alice “Sonja” Conti, 78, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully, Monday, May 28, 2018 in her home. She was born November 16, 1939 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of John Angelo Conti and Anita Gable, and raised by Raymond Stephenson. Sonja was a supervisor at Warner Lambert for 37 years. She was a lifelong member of the Woman of the Moose, and enjoyed bowling, gardening, and playing softball on the Rockford Royals.

Sonja is loved and missed by her siblings, Lincoln Stephenson, Tanya (George) Franklin, Arlene (Joe) Blades, Ricky Conti, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, John, Terry and Lisa Conti, brother-in-law, Dennis Wright, and special niece and goddaughter, Lisa Maurici.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 4, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115. A visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials to the family.
