Barbara E. William, 77, of Rockford, IL, passed away on July 7, 2022. She was born in Rockford, IL on May 12, 1945 to Clarence and Eleanor (Morrissey) Glynn. Barbara married George Williams on May 12, 1981. She had a big heart for animals and worked at Alpine Veterinary Hospital as a Manager. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and baking in her spare time. Barbara’s family will miss her incredible chocolate chip cookies and strawberry cream pie. She attended Forest City Church. Barbara loved to help people and was a big encourager to many. She loved her family very much and is going to be missed by all of them.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 41 years, George; her children, Melissa (Jon) Munce, Lisa (Tom) Wells, and Greg (Juni) Kerr; her grandchildren, Andrew Munce, Katherine Munce, Justin Wells, Ryan Wells, Josh Hall, and Sam Hall; her great-grandchildren, Bennett Hall and Hamilton Hall; her brother, Tom Glynn; her sisters-in-law, Kay (Bob) Layman and Becky (Bert) Hanson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister.
Funeral Service for Barbara will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., Machesney Park, IL 61115. Entombment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens-Chapel of Peace.
