Beverly J. Johnson

Beverly J. Johnson, 91, joined her Savior and her husband on Saturday, February 4, 2017. Born April 5, 1925 in Beloit, WI. Daughter of William Ellis and Dorothy Della (Raymer) Underhill. Married John Johnson on November 21, 1942. He predeceased her on November 16, 1999 just shy of their 57th wedding anniversary. Beverly had a love of God and enjoyed attending Riverside Community Church.

Beverly was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. She enjoyed swimming and diving in her earlier years and crochet, quilting and going on gambling trips in her later years. She always had fun with her daughters. Her favorite pastime was spent with her family.

Survived by her daughters, Sharon (John) Whiteford, Darna (Chuck) Johnson, Jody (John) Carlson; grandchildren, Collette (George) Cichon, Christopher (Jennifer) Whiteford, Jeffrey (Rachel Blumberg) Underhill, Brian Borchardt, Sheri (Franky) Viacava, Terri (Dennis) Martin, Kristin (Tim) Johnson, Michele (Nick) DeJardin, Wendi (Joe) DiPiazza, Jennifer (Scott) Ware, Amy (Jeremiah) Harcourt; 25 Great-Grandchildren; 10 Great-Great-Grandchildren; sister, Patricia Vaughn; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Predeceased by her parents, spouse, granddaughter-in-law, Julie Borchardt.

Funeral Service at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 9 at Riverside Community Church, 6816 N. 2nd St, Machesney Park. Visitation at 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Pastor Bobby Sheets will be officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Riverside Community Church in Beverly’s name.
