Bill L. Bargman, aged 78, of Loves Park, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. He was born August 24, 1947 in Anna, Illinois to Kenneth Bargman and Vivian Provo. Bill married the love of his life, Cheryl Garnhart on December 18, 1965. He worked for many years at BorgWarner before he retired in 2013. He was a proud member of UAW Local 803.
Bill enjoyed watching sports. He liked working on cars and going to car shows. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Bill is survived by his wife of 59 years, Cheryl Bargman; children, Angela Bargman and Thomas (Tammy) Bargman; grandchildren, Zac (Hannah), Tyler (Karlie), and Taylor (Ron); great-grandchild, Saylor; siblings, Linda Bargman, Tim (Suzette) Bargman; Marla (Wade) Fields, and Mary (Duane) Hall; sister-in-law, Genny Bargman; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Bargman; mother, Vivian (Joseph) Chastain; and brother, Bobby Bargman.
A memorial service for Bill will be held on Monday, December 8 at 2:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, Illinois, 61115. Burial rites to follow at Sunset Memorial Garden.
