Blake attended Jefferson High School for two years of his education before joining and graduating from Rockford East High School in 1992. Blake went on to graduate and receive his Bachelor's Degree from Southern Illinois University in 1996. Shortly after graduation he found a career in Industrial Sales and Service. On May 12, 2007, Blake married the love of his life, Dawn McElyea. Since their wedding day, they have spent their lives supporting, growing and endlessly loving one another. He found great joy in baseball, cheering on his beloved Colorado Buffaloes and the Chicago Bears. He loved sharing the excitement of the game with others, whether watching a big game, talking sports, or simply enjoying the competition. Time on the water, boating, being outdoors and spending time with his many great friends brought him peace and happiness. Blake will be remembered for his strong work ethic and his generosity when it came to helping those who needed it. Above all, he was a devoted family man.
