Bruce O. Bjork Jr.

Bruce O. Bjork Jr., 34, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 22, 2023. Bruce was born on November 29th 1988, to Bruce Bjork Sr. and Carol (Larson) Bjork in Rockford, Illinois. He graduated from Berean Baptist School and attended Golden State Bible College in Santa Clara, CA.

Bruce was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson and fiance. He was a friend to many. Bruce was a gentle, kind and a quiet man who never hesitated to help his family. He was a hard worker, and very giving. He loved basketball, especially the Chicago Bulls. He enjoyed bike rides and playing chess.

He is survived by his parents, Bruce and Carol; sisters Grace (Levi Wussow) Bjork, Leah (Bjork) and Chris Alexander, Rachel (Bjork) and Mitchell Shreve and bonus sister, Michayla Monfort; nephews, Emmitt, Finnley and Roland Shreve; and beloved fiance Brandi Rudd. He is reunited with his maternal and paternal grandparents and other dear loved ones now in their heavenly home.

All services will be private for close friends and immediate family. Memorials may be made to the family, and sent to Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., Machesney Park, IL 61115, where they will be forwarded to the family.
