Calla B. Schock, 81, of Rockford passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 at River Bluff Nursing Home. Born March 6, 1930 in Rockford, IL to the late Albion and Lulu Amanda (Turner) Kelsey. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and scrabble. Calla married John “Jack” Schock in 1949. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1992. Survivors include her children, Kathleen Miller, Calla (Allen) Gray, John (Cheryl) Schock and Mark (Kathy) Schock, grandchildren, Richard, Daniel, Matthew Miller, Kristina Bang, John, Shane Schock, Kelsey, Paige Gray, great-grandchildren, Ashton, Parker, Will, Collin, Logan and Max. She was predeceased by one daughter Karen in 1997 and son-in-law Don Miller in 2007. The family would like to thank River Bluff for their wonderful care. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 19, 2011 with visitation one hour prior to the services at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine, Machesney Park, IL 61115. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
