Carolyn Joyce Perez, 82, of Roscoe, Illinois, departed this heavenly earth on Sunday June 1st, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born September 25th, 1942 in Dalton City, Illinois to David and Marjorie Yakey, where she grew up on the family farm and continued her passion while working within the floral arrangement service industry, which included 21 years with B. Sandfield in Rockford. Married the love of her life, Gilbert Perez on June 25th, 1995. Also survived by her daughters Tina (David) Olson; Teresa (Erik) Nelson; sister Sharon (Nick) Dunbar; sister in law Barbara Yakey; 4 Grandchildren, and 4 Great Grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who all adored her.
Preceded in death by her parents, sister in law Linda Yakey, brother David “Sonny” Yakey, and her sister Janet (Howard) Hite.
Visitation to be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday June 6, 2025 at Riverside Community Church 6816 N. 2nd. St., Machesney Park, Illinois 61115 with funeral service to follow at 11:00., and will be laid to rest in Kirkland, Illinois.
