Charlene D. Wollenberg

Charlene D. Wollenberg, 62, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, April 27, 2023, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 17, 1960 in Elmhurst, IL, the daughter of John H. and Betty (Briggen) Swick. Charlene married the love of her life, Duane Wollenberg, on December 18, 1981. She was a homemaker and enjoyed babysitting. You could find Charlene curled up in a chair, covered in her favorite blanket, watching the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs or Notre Dame Football. She enjoyed going camping at their spot at Pearl Lake for many years. Most of all, Charlene was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend who will be deeply missed.

Charlene is loved by her husband of 41 years, Duane; children, Jamie, Heidi (Ryan) and D.J. (Rosie); mother, Betty Paulsen; grandchildren, Hailey, Cody, Zack, Rylee, Allena, Clara, Connor and Drew; siblings, Pam (Bobby), John (Maureen), Kenny (Dawn) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, John Swick; step-father, Roger Paulsen and brother Roger (Diane).
