Born August 3, 1930, the daughter of Wilma McCarty and Charles Kight. Married to James Callahan on April 14, 1950. Predeceased by James on February 25, 1991.
She was a homemaker all of her married life, enjoying gardening, cooking and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Survivors include children, Mary (Terry) Norris of Rockford, Linda (Curt) McIntyre of Freeport, and Rodney (Alice) Callahan of Rockford; three granddaughters, Lisa Kruse, Allison (Dave) Pierson, and Stacy Hathaway; two grandsons, Ken Montgomery and Steve (Brenda) Miller; six great grandsons, Lane Pierson, Reid Pierson, Payton Hathaway, Cooper Hathaway, A.J. Miller, and Derrek Miller; one great granddaughter, Kelsey Kruse; one sister, Margaret (Jerry) Whiteside of Cherokee Village, AR; and many nieces and nephews.
