Daniela L. Ivey

A member of Cathedral of St. Peter Church, she was a graduate of Boylan High School and an employee of Rockford Memorial Hospital.

An avid reader, Daniela enjoyed making jewelry, the company of friends, and spending time with her family, especially her children.

Her survivors include her mother and step-father, Barbara and James Ivey; father, Earl Cotton; children, Giovanni L. Ivey, Bryant L. Ivey, Dion Jordan Whiteside, Jalen Corde’ Whiteside, Michael L. Ivey, and My’kaila L. Ivey; sister, Cristina Conway; brother, Arnold Ivey; grandmother, Ernestine Rouls; aunt, Suzette (Rouls) Porter; uncles, Lawrence Rouls, Jr., and Marcus Rouls; niece, Cristiaan Jackson; nephews, Frank Conway, Quintin Jackson, Xavier Ivey, and Zay’Den Conway; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Nicole Smith Ivey; and her grandfather, Lawrence Rouls, Sr.

Funeral mass, 10 a.m., Thursday, June 6, at Cathedral of St. Peter Church, 1243 N. Church Street, Rockford with Father Jeremy Trowbridge officiating. Visitation, 9 a.m. to time of service. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations may be given to the family to set up a trust fund for Daniela’s children.
