Deborah Lee "Debbie" Hallengren, 66, of Rockford, IL, passed away suddenly, Friday, June 16, 2023 in Sayre, Oklahoma while she was visiting with her granddaughter. She was born March 16, 1957 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of James D. and Marlyce (Thompson) Beardsley. She attended East and West High School in Rockford. Debbie married Bruce Hallengren on June 21, 1974 in Rockford. She was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at River Bluff until her retirement. Debbie enjoyed traveling with Bruce all over the United States, especially Alaska, Hawaii and Oklahoma. She adored cats and loved feeding all of the outdoor animals. She loved spending time with her family especially her daughter, Amy and granddaughter, Emily. Debbie was the family organizer, who liked planning all of the family vacations up north. Debbie and her sister, Holly, were in charge of all the Christmas cookie baking. She was a patient and loving woman who will be dearly missed.
Debbie is survived by her daughter, Amy Muraski; granddaughter, Emily (Erich) Neslund; mother, Marlyce (Gary) Brock; siblings, Holly Jones, Bart (Lisa) Beardsley, Brent (Lisa) Brock, Julie (Jeffery) Vaughan, Brandon (Stephanie) Brock; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce, daughter Annette, father James Beardsley, and sister Janet Northrup.
