Dennis H. Hanley

Dennis H. Hanley, 69 of Machesney Park passed away February 19, 2014 after a brief illness. Born October 18, 1944 in Peoria, he was the son of John and Ruth (Pearson) Hanley. He married the love of his life, Grace, on July 24, 1982 in Rockford.

An employee of K & J Finishing, Dennis was a member of the Ellida Lodge. Dennis and Grace were Adoptive/Foster Parents for 20 years, raising 110 children.

He enjoyed fishing, coon hunting, constantly teasing people, playing pool, and most of all spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Grace; sons, Richard (Cindy) Twine, Todd (Ericka) Larson, and Larry (Danielle) Hanley; daughters, Andrea (Mike) Meyers, Mercedes, Porsche, and Angela Hanley; grandchildren, Adam Twine, Kurtis (Katie), and Dakota Masterson, Mikayla Meyers, Stephanie (Aaron) Larson, Eric and Jeanette Deboef, Brianna Larson, Alyssa and Tyler Hanley, Kyla and Bailey Richter; great grandchildren, Brooke and soon to be born, Maddi Lynn; brother, James (Pat) Hanley; sister, Dianne (Warren) Harrington; former son in law, Mark Masterson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents.
