

Edward A. Dreger, 86, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away Dec. 29, 2020. He was born Oct. 2, 1934, in Miltona Minn. to Fred and Elsie Dreger. He grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Parker Prairie High school, class of 1952. Edward was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army, and spent 42 years serving the Rockford community, working at Elco Industries. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, lawn work, and spending time outdoors. Edward was a man who liked to work with his hands. He spent time doing building projects, and volunteering with his church, Grace Lutheran, during their annual “Fun Fest.”
He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Dreger; their children, Martin (Paula) Dreger, Timothy Dreger with ex-wife Terése, and Alisa (John) Lee; grandchildren, Nicole Dreger, Giana Dreger, Amber (Peter) Brackett and Tanja (Dylan Wells) Lee; great grandchildren, Molly, and Alice, as well as his brother, Wallace (Nancy) Dreger.
He is predeceased by his parents, Fred and Elsie Dreger; and his sisters.
