He was born on August 3, 1970, in Rosston, Arkansas. Edward was raised by mother Linda Scott Jackson and father Joe Jackson. Edward and family moved to Rockford, Illinois in 1974. At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Edward recently rededicated his life to Christ before he went home to be with the Lord.
Edward graduated from Jefferson High School, Rockford, Illinois, class of 1989. After graduation, he worked for several years at various manufacturing companies in the Rockford area. Prior to becoming ill, Edward was a home health care giver for his mother in-law.
Edward married the love of his life, Stacie, on September 22, 2012. Together they enjoyed traveling anywhere that had an ocean and beach, especially to the Caribbean. They were beach bums and would spend countless hours on the beach people watching, joking with the locals, and watching the ocean. They also enjoyed hosting events with family and friends on the Scott Deck.
Edward had a laid back personality and amazing sense of humor that could always make you smile. He kept people rolling in laughter because he could find humor in the most mundane life circumstances. Edward had a passion for old school cars, especially his black beauty, his 1995 Chevy Impala SS. He enjoyed the simplest pleasures in life like hanging with friends, playing basketball, bike riding, going to car shows, and a competitive card game of spades. He strived to be a leader and example to his children, and those around him. He was a deeply devoted son, husband, and father. He will be missed by many.
Edward leaves to cherish his memory; his wife; Stacie Scott, mother; Linda Scott Jackson, children; Courtney Talbert, Jasmine Talbert, and Najhia Scott, siblings; Ray Allen, and Linda Scott-Gulley, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom he loved dearly.
