

Services will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM, Friday, August 29, 2025, with funeral services at 9:30 AM, Saturday, August 30, 2025.
Ed was born on Sept 30, 1954, in Hazel Green, WI, the son of Linus and Lelia Timmerman. He graduated from Cuba City (WI) High School in 1973 and from Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, WI. He was a surveyor for several years in the Galena, IL area and retired after 27 years with Rock River Water Reclamation District in Rockford, IL. Ed was a hard worker whose passion for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him . . . loving any day when he could be hunting, fishing, or boating.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Mary (Marth-Aschenbrenner) Timmerman (married Oct. 10, 2008); his children, Jenny Musick and John Timmerman; his stepchildren, Stephanie (Dave) Stern, of Marshfield, WI, Jennifer (Brad) Lundmark, of Phoenix, AZ, and Corrie (Jon) Klien, of Roscoe, IL; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition, Ed is survived by his siblings, Gary (Sherri) Timmerman, of Benton, WI, Bob Timmerman, of UT; Carolyn (Jay) Nigbor, of Watertown, WI; Glen Timmerman, of Prairie du Chien, WI, and Marilyn Kohout, of Atascadero, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Linus and Lelia (Pinch) Timmerman, of Cuba City, WI; his twin brother, John, who died a day after birth; his sister, Joyce and brother-in-law Noel Maxcy, of Rockford, IL; and his niece, Lori Hoftender, of Rockford, IL.
