Elaine Bennett

Elaine Bennett, 82, of Rockford, died on November 6, 2009 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born September 30, 1927 in Hinsdale, IL the daughter of Niels and Jenny (Pedersen) Rasmussen. Married Delbert Bennett on December 17, 1949 in Woodstock, IL. Former member of Alpine Lutheran Church. Elaine was a wonderful homemaker and will be deeply missed. Survivors include daughter, Diane (Greg) LeMoine of Rockton; son, Garry (Rosella) Bennett; daughter, Penny (Mark) Hoffman, all of Rockford; grandchildren, Scott (Kris) LeMoine and Dawn (John) Langdon, all of Crystal Lake, Ashley, Kevin, Natalie and Madelynn Bennett, all of Rockford, Katie(Randy) McClung of Roscoe and Tim Hoffman of Rockford; great-grandchildren, Alexandra LeMoine, Kayla LeMoine, Nicholas Langdon and Megan Langdon, all of Crystal Lake and Nina McClung of Roscoe; siblings, Corine (John) Schoenburger, Andy (Barb) Rasmussen, Gunner (Mary) Rasmussen and Betty (Larry) Hart; brothers-in-law, Forrest Knapp, Melvin (Mary) Bennett and Alson (Darla) Bennett; sisters-in-law, Joyce Rasmussen and Vivian (Dale) Wiggins; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Delbert Bennett; brother, Kenneth Rasmussen and sister, Lillian Knapp. A special thank you to the staff and friends at Alpine Fireside Health Center.
