Eldora Caroline Hamilton, 94, of Machesney Park, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on August 17, 1918 in Wauzeka, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (DeVieu) Kurth. On September 26, 1937, she married Harley Hamilton in Rockford, a marriage that would last 70 years.
Eldora enjoyed sewing, cooking, crochet, and bowling. A very good listener, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Kay (Kenneth) McCluskey, and Harold (Del) Hamilton; grandchildren, Troy McCluskey, David (Robin) McCluskey, Dennis (Melissa) McCluskey, Mary (Rusty) Puhl, Joseph McCluskey, Jennifer McCluskey, Paul (Brandi) Hamilton, and Eric Hamilton; 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great, great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Hamilton; her parents, Charles and Anna Kurth; brothers, Harold, Leroy, and Earl Kurth.
