Elsie L. Moore

Elsie Lee (Newboles) Moore, 83, of Loves Park IL, passed away peacefully Monday May 21st, 2012 at Alpine Fireside Health Center. Born June 10, 1928 in Paragould Arkansas to Joseph and Jennie Robinson. Elsie married James Newboles on February 18, 1951 in Arkansas. Together they had two wonderful daughters, Judy (Newboles) Lynde and Carol (Newboles) Burgett. James Newboles passed away on February 7, 1982. Elsie was employed at Elco Fastener Company in Rockford as an inspector until she retired in 1991. On April 15, 1990 Elsie married James Moore. The resided in Loves Park and attended Riverside Assembly of God Church. Elsie loved traveling, gardening, and her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love of God and family. Elsie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Elsie is survived by her loving husband, James Moore; daughters Judy (Tom) Lynde of South Beloit IL, and Carol Burgett of Ladson South Carolina; Six grandchildren, Kelly (Ryan) Nestler, Jacob (Laura) Burgett, Andrea Treadman, Jon (Lisa) Burgett, Jamie (Shawn) Hanson, and Stephanie (Dave) Bennington; 13 great-grandchildren Christofer Burgett, Andrew Nestler, Addison Hanson, Justin Carlson, Payton Treadman, Heaven Burgett, Chloe Nestler, Addison Treadman, Brianna Burgett , Ryan Mercer, Rylan Hanson, Lily Nestler, and Noah Hanson.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband James Newboles; brother Ray Robinson; sisters Deronda Cole and Agnes Retherford.

A funeral service to celebrate Elsie’s life will be Thursday May 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Road Machesney Park IL. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Rev. Truman Turner will officiate. A luncheon will follow at Riverside Assembly of God, 4242 W. Riverside Blvd. Rockford IL.
