Eugene S Kramer

Eugene attended school in South Beloit, IL and served in the U.S Army. On July 17, 1993 he married Leanne Willmer Murphy. He worked at National Detroit in Rockford IL for almost 30 years before taking a leave due to Health Concerns.

His passion was fishing every day and he had his own rock at Rock Cut State Park. He was a devoted Chicago Bears Fan. He and Leanne loved to play Euchre, go to Casinos day or night, and dine out. He loved just sitting on the Patio and watching the grandchildren and great- grand children play. He taught all of them all about gardening, pruning the bushes, how to use all the tools and especially how to fish.

Survivors include his wife Leanne; sons, Michael (DeDi) Kramer, Mark (Melissa) Kramer, Daughter Michelle (Michael) Garthwaite, Cory (Dani) Kramer; step-children, Michelle(Pat) Crane, Aaron Murphy; Grandchildren, Ashley, Alexis, Brett, Tanner, Kaleb, Cody, Michael Jr, Cavari, Samera, Malachi and Zander; step-grandchildren; Kylie, James, Samuel, Joy, Collin and Connor; great grand-children, Isaac, Kaylee Ann, and Ethan.; brothers, Wayne Kramer, Greg Kramer, Randy (Pat) Kramer and Terry (Jackie) Brewster; aunts, Judy (Delray) Johnson, Catherine Kramer, Erma Lankford, Mildred Schroeder, Alice Tuttle and Cora Reszczynski. He is also survived by beloved and faithful companion, Minnie ;special friend and bro James Judon and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Eugene was predeceased by his parents; stepfather, Roy Brewster; brother, Rick and sister, Dawn; step-son Chad Murphy; mother and father in law, Franklin (Suzanne) Willmer; father in law, Jack Burke; great- grandson Jase and many aunts and uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family for a memorial in Eugene's name.

Funeral service will be held at 3pm, Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Rev. Gene Van Galder will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 1pm to 3pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
