Fanny C. Gamez

Fanny C. Gamez, 76, of Rockford passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Fanny was born in Colombia, the daughter of Jose and Emperatriz (Cortez) Narvaez. Fanny married Ignacio Gamez on December 24, 1971 in Colombia. Fanny retired from Warner Lambert after 22 years of service. She loved her grandchildren and family was very important to her. Fanny is survived by her husband Ignacio; daughter Stephanie (Peter) Nichols; grandchildren Claudia, Julian and Lilly; one sister and three brothers who are surviving and living in Colombia and other extended family living in Colombia; special nephew Juan Carlos Narvaez.

Service to celebrate Fanny’s life will be 2:00 pm Monday, July 1, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park; visitation for Fanny will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded.
