SERVICE DATES CHANGED DUE TO POTENTIAL WINTER STORM: Frank Louis Drabek, age 79, of Loves Park, Illinois passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Frank was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 6, 1943 to Frank and Agnes Drabek. Frank spent his younger years, growing up in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. In 1962 Frank graduated from Williams Bay High School where he was proud to have played as his football team's power running back. He went on to receive his Associate's Degree from Rockford Business College while also serving in the Wisconsin National Guard. Frank spent 20 years at Twin Disc and another 23 years at Honeywell working as a manufacturing engineer before retiring in 2006. Frank married the love of his life, Marsha Benson on April 6, 1968. Together they had two sons and shared 54 beautiful years together enjoying many family activities and especially watching their boys play soccer. As a family tradition, Frank made sure to pass on his love for hunting, fishing, and being a true Bohemian to his sons. Frank's love for cars started in high school when he got his 1937 Plymouth, which sparked his membership in numerous car clubs including, the Marquis, Thunderbird Club of Wisconsin, and Studebaker Club. Frank was also passionate about his faith and serving God. He was a proud member of North Park Covenant Church since the 1970's where he served many roles including, AWANA's Club, Sunday School and as a Deacon. Frank is survived by his wife, Marsha Drabek; sons, Frank H. (Erin) Drabek and Ryan (Dawn) Drabek; grandchildren, Christina (Scott) LeBlanc and Courtney (Chase) Johnson; great granddaughters, Claire, Isabelle, Jade, and Astrid. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Agnes Drabek; brother, Edward Drabek. A visitation will be held at North Park Covenant Church (545 Superior Ave, Machesney Park, IL 61115) on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 1pm until the time of Service at 2pm. After the Funeral Service there will be a luncheon at North Park Covenant Church. Private family burial will take place in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. In Lieu of flowers please send donations to North Park Covenant Church, Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy (friendsofknc.org), Walter Lawson Children’s Home (wlch.org) or the charity of your choice.
