Gaylord D. (Jack) Shaw, 76, of Machesney Park, passed away Sunday March 18, 2012 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford.
He was born June 16, 1935 in Eastman, Wisconsin the son of Francis and Alice (Havens) Shaw. He married Shirley A. Warren on April 19, 1958. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1956. He worked for 47 years of his life retiring in 2000 after 30 years at Swedish American Hospital.
Jack, to all that loved and knew him, was a very loving husband and father. The most important thing in his life was his family.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Shaw, one son; Dale Shaw, one daughter; Lisa (Mark) Simoens. One sister June (Haig) Boyajian; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by his daughter Shelley A Shaw, Brothers; Roland Shaw Sr., Calvin Shaw and Bernard Shaw; and one sister Maxine Holly.
A Graveside service will be held Thursday March 22, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens at8800 North Alpine Road in Machesney Park, IL 61115. Rev. Terrance Holly will officiate services.
