Grace L. Rose, 92, Rockford, departed her earthly life Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Born on October 22, 1920 in Beloit, Wisconsin, she was reared in the home of John and Etta Veer. She married Robert Rose on October 17, 1970 at Brook Road United Methodist Church in Rockford, where Grace was a member.
She was a person who enjoyed buying and selling antiques. She was employed at J.L. Clark in Rockford and she also as a beautician, she owned and operated her own shop which was located on Seventh Street in Rockford.
Survivors include her brothers, Adrin Lawler, James (Eldora) Degan; sisters, Laura (Chet) Harding, Marilyn Mullins, Marlene (Dave) Carvanas and Carol Neth; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Arlene Weeden, and Treva Fleming.
Predeceased by her husband, parents, sister, Marie; brothers, Paul and Kenny.
Funeral Service, 10 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2012, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park. Pastor Wendell Maynard will be officiating.
