Herbert L. Miller

Herbert L. “Loren” Miller, 92, of Rockford, IL, passed away, Sunday, July 29, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 7, 1925 in Carrier Mills, IL, the son of Frank and Hattie (Jackson) Miller, Sr. Loren worked at Rockford Products as a machinist for many years, retiring in 1987. He is a former member of the Moose Club. Loren loved fishing, gardening and playing pool.

Loren is loved and missed by his wife, Leona; daughter-in-law, Christine Miller; grandsons, Jeremy Miller, Jason (Holly) Miller; granddaughter, Lorie Miller; great-grandchildren, Loren, Jaymes, Storm, Rain and Autumn; step-daughters, Joyce McNeal, and Janice Austin; 2 nephews, and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Loren Miller; and 6 brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL, 61115. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m., until the time of service. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the family.
