Howard L. Garrison

Rockford, IL, Howard L. Garrison passed away on August 27, 2016. He was born October 10, 1919. To Ernest Eugene Garrison and Lily von Zeppelin Garrison. He lived in Mt. Vernon, IL until moving to Rockford. He served the Army in Hawaii during WWII. Howard was an active member in Park Avenue Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. He was the water treatment plant operator for the city of Mt. Vernon until his retirement in 1980.

Howard is survived by; wife Leona Mirlene Russell Garrison, daughter Lois McLaughlin, grandchildren; Gregory M. (Madonna Merhaut) McLaughlin, Johnetta (Barry) Benhoff, and Stephanie (Mike) Wanjon, great grandchildren; Calvin Pulizzi, Gregory Nicholas McLaughlin, Alexander and Michael Solen, Alyssa McLaughlin, Madeline Benhoff, Alexandria Ridgeway, and Jonathan Napert, great great grandchildren; Anthony, Ariana and August Joseph Ridgeway, and Jacob Raleigh Napert.

Predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers and four sisters; and a great grandson Mason Benhoff and son-in-law James J. Mc Laughlin .
