Ivan L. Livingston, 90, of Rockford, IL, died lonely and alone during the pandemic and went to be with the love of his life on Valentine’s Day at Northwoods Care Center. He was born November 19, 1930 in McGregor, IA, the son of Ivan and Nina (Barker) Livingston. Ivan proudly served in the United States Air Force enlisting in 1949. Ivan was united in marriage to Betty Lou Kozeliski on June 28, 1952 in Rockford. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Club. Ivan worked as a machinist for many years. He enjoyed fishing and camping in his younger years. Ivan loved to socialize and would go to B.J,’s bar every day for his diet root beer. Most of all, Ivan adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ivan is loved and missed by his children, Cindy (Alfonso) Intravaia and Linda Asbury; grandchildren, Tanya (Ben) Hawkins, Jennifer Walters, Eric (Corrie) Asbury, Danielle (Adam Kittoe) Asbury; great-grandchildren, Blake and Breanna Walters, Sydney Kittoe, and Silas Asbury; sister, Joyce (Don) Poshka; brother, Richard (Cindy) Livingston; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty, son Ivan J. Livingston, granddaughter Crissie Norman and son-in-law, Tim Asbury, brothers, Joe and Vince (Alice) Livingston.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 22, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a visitation to begin at 9:00 a.m. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Pallbearers include Tim Poshka, Jeff Poshka, Joe Livingston, Blake Walters, Eric Asbury, and Adam Kittoe.
