Jane Ella Pierce

Jane Ella Pierce, 56, of Roscoe passed away Monday, March 15, 2010 at her residence surround by her family. Born April 21, 1953 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Robert and Jane (Spurr) Smith. She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, the outdoors, and collecting angels, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and her dog Spud. Jane was a brownie leader for many years. She married John E. Pierce Sr. July 5, 1972 in Rockford, IL; he survives. Survivors include her children: Johnny (Sandie Wines) Jr., Nicole (Rich Rice) and Joey (Denise Nanni) Pierce; granddaughter Brianna Pierce, her father Robert W. Smith, brothers and sisters: Lynn (Ellen) Smith, Linda (Jim) Encheff, Janice Radant and Glenn (Georgia) Smith, and her dog Spud. She was preceded in death by her mother. Services will be 10:00 am Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the funeral home.
