Jeffrey B. Curtis, 59, of Loves Park passed away Sunday January 30, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Jeffrey was born on October 10, 1962 in Rockford, the son of Howard Burke and Jeanne M. (Polus) Curtis. He married Marjorie A. Armstrong on April 18, 1998. Jeffrey was a Cub and Boy Scout Master with Troup #123, an avid supporter of the NRA as an instructor. He loved to shoot at the Rockford Skeet and Trap Club. Jeffrey was a 34 year member of the Alano Club of Rockford for which he was very proud of. He loved model trains, avid Green Bay Packer Fan and NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. He was a big History buff, liked to travel and go camping with his family and when he was a scout master.
Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife Marjorie; son Deveyn Curtis (Samantha V) and children Malaki and Neaveh and son Burke Curtis; father Howard Curtis; sisters: Michele (Andy) Mackenthun and Carrie Carlson; brothers: Tim (Jill) Curtis, Howard Curtis, Jimi (Andi) Curtis and Mike Curtis; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Jeannie and her husband Ralph Jolliff.
A gathering to celebrate Jeffrey’s life will be Friday February 4, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park. Cremation rites will be accorded after services. In lieu of flowers, donation can be given to the family.
