John Duyne

Machesney Park, IL. John Nicholas Duyne, 81, was welcomed into heaven on Sunday, August 2, 2015. Born February 18, 1934 inWoodstock, Il. to Harry and Agatha (Hooyboer) Duyne. He was a veteran of the Army. John worked at Arnold Engineering then Cassens Transport for over 20 years. In 1972 he married Marvalynn Jury and shared 43 years together, while enjoying camping and boating at Lake Mills, dancing, and going out to dinner. John worked at the Grove in Poplar Grove, Il. and enjoyed greeting all the patrons. John was handy with repairs around the house and grooming the lawn.

Survivors: wife of 43 years, Marvalynn; children, Michael (Tash) Duyne, Robert(Donna) Duyne, Sherie (Donnie) Woodburn, Rhonda Schnoor, Robin (Mark) Bumphrey; grandchildren, Ian and Paige Bumphrey, Megan (Caleb) Caveny, Megan Rae Woodburn, Cameron and Garrett Schnoor, Ryan Palmer, Payton Duyne, Koltan Duyne and Sierra; great-grandchild, Ellie Jay Caveny. Sisters, Virginia Behm and Marie George. Predeceased by parents; son, Richard Duyne; son-in-law, Jay Zavagli; sister, Josie (Wilbert) Reiser; nephews, Will and Jim Reiser
